Nordquist Blog: My Top 5 Twitter Tools

  • Natasha · 12 months ago
Yay! I'm number 4 for your replies to!

This is a great post. I like that you give some reasons why and say who would benefit from these. Helps me decide.

I still don't like TweetDeck but if I feel like I have to start following a ton more people to increase my readership, then it will become a necessary evil. If it was closer to real time then I could get over how ugly it is. I HATE black screens. If they just changed it to white that would make a big difference to me. Black actually depresses me on a website, blog, or program.

Natasha, I agree about the black theme of TweetDeck. Although I haven't done it yet, you can go into Settings and change the colors. Thanks for reply.

Nice article, Brett! You should consider a follow-up article that talks about mobile clients and tools - I'm guessing 60% of my tweets originate on my iPhone.

Anthony, I will do that as I use my mobile phone more to Twitter. If I had an iPhone I would use it a lot more but on Windows Mobile I've yet to find a decent app.

Great list. Some of my favorites in here. :)

Hey Brett: Nice post. Good information here - including some of my favorites. I used TweetDeck but it didn't update my direct messages very often. I'll try it again though since I still have it installed. I've been using Twhirl as my everyday client.

    Nice list, Brett.

You picked ALL my faves - these are the apps I use daily. I respect your opinion so I'm glad to see I'm not missing any obvious apps.

Also, as far as mobile is concerned, I've had an iPhone since they came out. I have Twitterific on my phone, but to be honest, I use http://m.twitter.com over 90% of the time. It's super lightweight and fast, and works just fine for catching up or firing off a quick tweet.

Have a great holiday, and I'll see you online.

You can change the colour?! Well then. I had wondered but hadn't put in the time to look. Thanks.

Natasha, I'll create a hideous new theme in TweetDeck tonight and post it for you.
